This little family is sweet. I just witnessed the birth of their second baby girl last week and it was so beautiful! This sweet couple won the maternity mini session at the Meet the Doulas event at the Birth Center of Northwest Arkansas. They are having their first babe and you can just tell how excited they are. They were so so sweet and I hope that they enjoy these images from such a special time, getting ready to bring a babe into the world<3

This was the birth of the gorgeous little Miss Painter. She came into the world so quickly that her she almost made her entrance in the hospital lobby! I made it just in time to get the first skin to skins, but oh what I would have given to have been on the wild journey on time. But all in babe’s timing! Most of us know birth doesn’t work out the way *we* want it to 😉 Even though I missed her grand entrance by moments, I was so honored to have been there to document this family’s beautiful story. I love these beautiful people.

Brian contacted me a few weeks ago looking for a photographer to shoot his *surprise* proposal… It was a first for me, so I was naturally super excited!!
His plan was to tell Ashley they were just taking some holiday photos (I guess he made her think it had something to do with her Christmas present). So. We started the shoot out just like any other shoot… did some poses, chatted a bit (I think I did a pretty good job at not giving it away, what do you think Brian?). Then about halfway through the session the plan was to walk up the walkway of Old Main while hiding the little ring box behind his back then get down on one knee to pop the big question.
