The Birth of Colette – Northwest Arkansas Birth Photographer

I have been looking back on some beautiful births that Ive had the privelage of attending over the past couple of years. Ania (she is absolutely stunning) was in need of a birth photographer pretty last minute and lived over an hour away, so we didnt get a chance to meet prior to the birth. I got a text in the middle of the night that her water had broken, I got in my little jetta and headed to the birth center. We greeted one another for the first time. And the rest… I hope these images can tell…

Northwest Arkansas Maternity Photographer | Bella Vista, AR

You guys I actually blogged! I think once I year I write a blog that goes something like  “Hey guys I blogged! I should do this more often”. But really really I do need to blog more often : )

My family and I just recently made a HUGE move from California to Northwest Arkansas. I couldn’t be more excited about shooting in my new area. Everything is so lush and GREEN! I am in photographer heaven. I always had a hard time scouting for locations in California, but it seems like just about every corner/park/trail in Arkansas works as a location.

Anyways, this gorgeous couple was the first “real” session I have done here in Arkansas. They are photographers themselves you can see them here. They are expecting their first little girl any day now! She will be LOVED<3

      Enjoy!

Dash Zissou – Bentonville AR Birth Photographer

Meet baby Dash Zissou!  (His father was a big Wes Anderson fan♡)

This not so little three week old guy waited for his newborn session because he has given his new parents quite the run for their money presenting many obstacles. Bless their hearts. There is nothing like having the first baby. I remember mine like it was yesterday… sigh. Such a momentous  chapter in your life. Your life is flipped completely upside down, for the good. A good you never could have imagined. So so sweet!

If you haven’t noticed from my recent posts on facebook, my newborn sessions are now strictly lifestyle. They are scheduled and shot with a more relaxed/natural approach. They are shot in your home in your environment cuddling, kissing, holding, rocking, nursing and just BEing with your new baby. My hopes are to capture real moments during these first couple of weeks with this new person for you to cherish and remember forever.

Welcome to the world baby Dash, you are loved!

Andrew and Mallory Engagement – Palm Springs, CA

When I first heard (saw on Instagram) that Mallory and Andrew were engaged my first thought was “I HAVE to photograph this wedding”. I just knew that Mallory would be a gorgeous bride and would plan a beautiful wedding. I was beyond thrilled when I received her email saying that they wanted me to shoot their engagement and wedding! She discussed that she wanted a fun destination shoot in Palm Springs…. ummm YES please.

We visited some of their favorite spots around town and ended our day in the desert. This is probably my favorite session to date. I have to say that I am pretty proud of it and couldn’t be happier with the result we got trying to capture “them” in Palm Springs. Congratulations Andrew and Mallory, I cannot wait to document your guys big day!!!
